Abhayam is an initiative of Bhuvana Dharmam Trust. By registering for or availing Abhayam's services, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read this document carefully.
Abhayam is merely a coordination platform that connects senior citizens with field executives/volunteers at hospitals in and around Coimbatore. Abhayam does not provide ambulance services, medical treatment, diagnosis, or any direct healthcare service. Abhayam's role is limited to coordination, companionship, hospital handholding, and navigation support through its coordinators and volunteers.
Registration on Abhayam is free of cost. There is no fee for signing up or for availing coordination and volunteer support services.
Once a request is raised, Abhayam's coordinator arranges for a field executive/volunteer to be present with the beneficiary at the selected hospital. Volunteers are individuals contributing their time voluntarily and as per their own availability. The Volunteer shall only help in its limited capacity and the Volunteer or Abhayam shall not be able to help monetarily.
Abhayam relies on its Volunteers and their availability. Abhayam shall make all reasonable efforts to ensure volunteer availability but cannot guarantee it in every instance.
Abhayam’s coordinators, and its volunteers are not medically qualified and they shall assist in diagnose, treat, or prescribe. All medical decisions, treatment, and care remain solely the responsibility of the hospital, the treating doctors, and the patient/family. Abhayam does not assume liability for the outcome of any medical treatment, procedure, or advice given by hospitals or healthcare providers.
Abhayam is not a substitute for emergency medical services or ambulance services. In case of a medical emergency, beneficiaries and families should contact emergency services or the nearest hospital directly.
Beneficiaries and their families are expected to provide accurate information at the time of registration and while raising a service request, and to communicate promptly with the Abhayam coordinator regarding any changes in requirements, timing, or availability.
Abhayam is built on the principles of social cause. It does not operator on any monetary benefit. Herewith said Abhayam does accept donations for their operations and any donations are welcome. Donations are voluntary and are not a condition for registering or availing any service.
Abhayam may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of Abhayam's services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
